I had this opportunity to watch this year’s Masala! Awards as they once again honor the incredible triumphs of the Asian community in the UAE. Many people (including me and my colleague) dressed up for this highly anticipated awards ceremony taking place at Madinat Arena. To my surprise, one fellow expat who was a model actually joined us on the table wearing his shorts and flip plops. :)
Masala! Awards 2012 was set to be a very special season as it marked the completion of 5 grand years of glorification and recognition of Asian talent in the fields of arts, education, philanthropy and business.
This year’s ceremony included the magical touch of famed designer Manish Malhotra.
